Installation
Installation is very easy; basically there are 3 things that need your attention, the welcome screen, the End User License Agreement (EULA) and the location where you want to install it.
The program basically installs a device driver for the virtual tape drive and a control panel to set it up.
During the installation your system is scanned for any filters or drivers that can cause problems for Firestreamer-RM.

Apparently my system had a faulty filter installed by the name of pxhelp.
Pxhelp seems to be a burning engine/layer made by Sonic.
At first I was puzzled where this layer had come from, because I didn't install any parts from Sonic.
But upon further investigation it appears Winamp 5 and 1Click DivXToDVD install this layer.
Also many web pages show that this layer is very problematic when trying to access CD/DVD drives.
One of the pages I found really helpful was this one.

Detection of any filters that cause problems is clearly shown, making you aware of potential faults that may occur.
After that the installation will still finish and it needs to reboot your system to enable the new device driver to work.
Once you have restarted, you will discover a new tape device in your system, this is the virtual tape drive installed by Firestreamer.
