Zoom Player is a robust media and DVD front-end player. It was designed to be simple at first glance while being remarkably dynamic and flexible when used to its full potential. It works in two modes: a Media mode which can play any file supported by DirectShow (any file which plays in MediaPlayer) and a DVD mode which uses pre-installed DirectShow DVD filters to play DVD content. It supersedes media player in all it's functions and provides several important functions that media player lacks. It provides special zooming functions to improve TV-output quality by eliminating overscan.
Changes in Current Version:
New "/SPEAKER:[value]" command line parameter allowing you to set the Windows Speaker setting
Adding a chapter from the chapter editor dialog will now enter the specified text as the chapter name if such a text was given
Few small modifications to the Customized Media Playback dialogs
TCP/IP controls expended even further
When applying an icon library you are now once again asked if you want it applied only to the associated extensions
Trying to open files bigger than 2gb would crash
Trying to load a file while Zoom Player was running through an external program (such as explorer) could fail if the file name was in unicode
The Registered Filter Manager should now appear correctly when using non-standard font-sizes
Some TCP/IP fixes
