Verbatim to start selling 2x HD DVD-R and RW media

Our friends over at Techconnect are reporting that Verbatim have started selling 2x HD DVD-R and RW media.
Trying to cheer up HD DVD after the announcement that Warner is going Blu-Ray exclusive, Verbatim has stated that it will begin to ship the world's first 2x-rated HD DVD-R (recordable) and HD DVD-RW (rewriteable) discs later this quarter. There's no official press release with regards to this statement, though we'll expect one soon enough, for now read more at the source.
