| Hi, I read your query and went to do a bit of snooping using Google and managed to come up trumps. I managed to download a decoding software called PSX Multi Converter in a Japanese site but the program is in English. Installed it last night and played with it till 2 am in the early morning. I did managed to convert the Final Fantasy IX, all 4 CDs movie clips into avi, but the compression wasn't what I liked( Indeo 5.1) so I went to choose a better one(Microsoft Mpeg 4 v2) from the drop down menu option.Walla, the size of the avi were halved the original and I think will actually now fit all the movie clips into a single CD-R disk. It also has the avi back to str but I haven't tried it yet. You can find this software download in: http://homepage2.nifty.com/mkb Enjoy and once you've reviewed it can you tell us if thats what you're looking for, OK? Like you, I might experiment converting an avi movie to str and watch it on my PSX... just for the fun of it. Chucky |

| Hi, When I reread my own posting I did 2 days ago, I realised the the website that I posted (although I copied directly from the installed software had an error. However, might I recommend that you use Google and search for PSX Multi Converter which will take you to a few options. Sorry about that. But you'll get there. Chucky |
