I recently bought a NEC ND-2510 DVD-R/+R 8X DUAL LAYER, and also can have access to a Pioneer 108 dvd-r/rw/+r9 16x dvd+r 4x dvd+r9, buffer 2MB ,atapi. Before going to find (very difficult in Italy today), buy, try to burn, got errors and trhow away some DVD-R 9+ loosing lot of money ... is there anyone who is currently and succesfully burning DVD-R 9+ (or similar rewritable - if exists) so that has copyed currently marketed DVD movies? [for personal back-up, of course]. I intend to rip one of them to the hard disk (DVD Decrypter ?) end then use CopyToDVD program to get an exact and viewable copy of the original. Is has been already done? Ciao Lidio

Hi lidiomozi Welcome to the forum and yes i have sucessfully recorded D/L media on the NEC 2510A located here: http://www.cdr-zone.com/review/2/nec-nd-2510a-dual-layer-dvd-recorder-review--features.html You may noticed that an adjusted firmware was required to record traxdata D/L media successfully with this drive although this is not the medias fault as it records well with the adjusted firmware. The 108 will record verbatim 2.4x DVD+R D/L at 4x overspeed as mentioned here: http://www.cdr-zone.com/review/30/pioneer-dvr-108-review--features.html CopyToDVD had no problems recording either Traxdata or Verbatim media. I expect the same for the Traxdata D/L media also at some point as another drive i am testing has achieved 4x overspeeding to the same mentioned media. Media prices for D/L are starting to drop in UK and can be found for under £5 a disc and i expect £3 a disc to be common place by next month - i hope this is similar in your country too. Good luck with your sourcing of media.
