| i have a pioneer 105 dvd-r on a pc clone running xp pro, 1.6ghz processor, 256 ram. last week i was burning just fine using dvd shrink version 3 and copytodvd version 2. this week i am getting an error report from ctdvd stating "write sector failed at sector 784(16) code 03 73 03 (medium error power calibration failed) can someone please help guide me on this? |

| The error says your media is bad, have you tried other media, also version 2 hasn't been supported in over a year, so it would be best to update. |

i used to use gq(general quality. a less expensive brand that can be found at fry's electronics) they worked for a really long time. then they did not. i switched to fuji. no problem there. until recently...i didn't notice before that the error message also said that the cd drive is dirty...  |
