| Using CopyToDVD Version 3.0.30.48 with Pioneer DVR 108 (Firmware 1.14) Win2k SP4 Trashed several -R Ritek G04's before noticing this problem. Burning DVD Video, all disc's written with no errors reported, but when checking with CDCheck or WinDiff the last one or two small files are corrupt. If I burn the same filesets to Verbatim +RW's all files are written ok. Same Filesets written with other burning software on the G04's is also ok. Any ideas please. |

| Hi Fulch Welcome to our forums. Are the GO4 all the same brand? If they are different brands could you please list which brand worked and which brand failed There are some very bad 'c' grade and worse G04 doing the rounds.... |

| All G04's are unbranded but sold as "Grade A", never had any trouble with these discs until I tried using CopyToDVD. Nero still writes to these discs reliably with no errors so I don't think it is a media error, but more a "-R" problem with my hardware and CopyToDVD. Comparing log files from +RW burn and -R burn shows two extra entries on the -R burn, one is DVD-R SAO writing mode used and the second mentions Optimal Layer break being in cell 680. Why is a layer break mentioned when -R S/L media is used but not when +RW media is used, the same fileset was written both times. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer |

| Hi, you need to know there is 2 writing mode possible for dvd-r . sao or packet writing. Maybe copytodvd use a different writing mode. in any case, you need to send us the log file to let us explain how to improve the support. |
