|
|
| Hey guys. I had CopyToDvd installed on my system before and it worked fine but after I formatted and reinstalled it I am now having problems burning DvDs. It isn't a case of bad media because I get the error and then use the same disc and it burns fine using Nero 6. The error I get is as follows: "Unable to start the write process - finalization skipped to preserve media" and "WriteSector failed at sector 0 (16) - Code 06 29 00 [Unit attention, Power On or Bus device reset occured" I am running Windows XP Professional on a P4 2.4Ghz with 512 DDR PC3200. The burner I am using is a Lite-On DVDRW LDW-851S. |

| i have this exact same problem using blindwrite and have done a bit more investigation, but still to no avail... my machine's spec is almost identical to kenny680's with a 430W power supply and an ECS P4S5A/DX motherboard. i can burn cds fine and read both cds and dvds, but not write dvds. i have tried both +r and -r on 2x and 4x i have also tried 2 different NEC 2510A drives, an LG GSA-4120BA and a panasonic unit all with exactly the same result. in nero the same equipment says it's writing lead in, but never get's any further. with nero completely removed, blindwrite fails with the Code 06 29 00 error. with mine it doesn't preserve the media. i now have a stack of coasters.... please help |
