I have uninstalled CopyToDVD but for some reason I still have CopyToCD in my context menu and I cannot get rid of it. When I click on it it says Error Executing CopyToCD so that means I have uninstalled it but its still there and is very annoying. Can someone please help me remove this, I've tried using a program called contextmenueditor and even that can't get rid of it.

Hi there, You must unregister the Shell .DLL file. In a dox box, or on the Start Menu / RUN type this: regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\VSO\CtcdShell.dll" This will remove any entries left of CopyToDVD in your Windows Explorer <RIGHT>

I have the opposite problem. I installed a newer version and it removed copytodvd from my context menu. I then went back to an older version and it still didn't work. I'm using win xp pro. Any suggestions on how to get it back.
Thanks.

Hi,

Latest version is v4.0.4, is this the version you installed ?

Have you tried to register the Shell Manually ?

C:>regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\VSO\CtcdShell.dll"

I went back to v4.0.3. I'll try the Manual register.
Thanks.

Hi,

Uninstall v4.0.3 and reboot, then try v4.0.4 again.

I assume you have Admin Rights on your PC ?

Are you running VISTA by any chance ?

There is an open bug with VSO on just that, right click shell issues with Vista.

Yes I have Admin rights and I'm not running VISTA. I'm sticking with XP Pro SP2 until I'm forced to change. I've got 4.0.3. working again and I'm gonna stick with it for awhile until I get all my burning done. Another problem I had with 4.0.4. was that when I started to burn a DVD a dialog box popped up and told me my drive was in slow mode, I still don't know what that's about. Since 403 is working properly for me now I'm not gonna update til I have time to fool around with the newer version.

Hi,

Slow mode ?

Maybe a DMA issue ?
