I am trying to find out how to copy from a DVD-R disc to a DVD+R disc. When using Nero, it says that the format is not compatible and to insert a DVD-R disc. How can I change my settings to accomplish this? Or do I need some different software? Please help.

Hi there, If you own VSO Blindwrite, use blindwrite. DVD-R and DVD+R are just 2 different kind of media, you should be able to copy from one to the other. I have never heard of this error, then again I do not use Nero, I use VSO CopyToDVD since this is a forum for VSO CopyToDVD !

Hi lysworld and welcome to our forums. I always recomend recording to an image file first and then recording from the image file to your dvdrw. It is slower but it's a much safer and reliable method. As to why Nero won't work - that's a strange one, but as I don't copy 'on the fly' I probarly will never find this issue but maybe it's a Nero bug.
