I have 2 burners - one is a DVD-RW (master) and the other is a CD-RW (slave) when I try to use the slave drive, I get a error message box that pops up and says: Toolbar item index out of range. Does anyone know what this is??

C:\Program Files\vso\copytodvd browse to that location and get the C2CD.LOG and post it, it will give me more information than you have.

There's nothing in the log file about that because it just pops up when I try to select the drive from the bottom drop-down list. It's not just one, it keeps coming up (about 1 per second) until I get rid of them and close the program.

I have the newest version of copytodvd (3.0.12.27) and my slave drive is a TDK 24x CD-R. All I'm trying to do is burn a cd (an audio cd) with my cd burner. My master drive is a LiteOn SOHW 812S 8x Multiformat DVD+-RW and it works fine - I only have trouble with the TDK.

3.0.16 is the newest version has been for a couple of weeks now (since 5/21/04), and your saying it only plagues the one drive, you may want to check for firmware updates for it, is this audio cd protected?

I get the exact same message. I emailed support several times and the only thing they could suggest was to completely uninstall CopyToDVD and install the latest version 3.0.16.30. I did that and I still experience the problem. I only have one drive on my Dell laptop which is an LG GCC-4240N. Here is a detailed description of how the problem occurs on my laptop: 1. Insert blank media into drive. 2. Right click a file (the file type doesn't seem to matter) and select CopyToDVDDepot or drag file into CopyToDVD Manager. 3. Open CopyToDVD Manager if not already open. 4. Select burner (I only have one) and speed. 5. Get multiple "Toolbar item index out of range" error messages. 6. Must close CopyToDVD from task manager because I can't hit ok on all the error messages fast enough. This only occurs when I use the CopyToDVD Manager. I am able to select the speed just fine but when I try to select my burner I get the error messages. If instead of using the CopyToDVD Manager I burn directly to the CD then it don't get this problem. Like rusty623 said, there is nothing in the error log about this because it doesn't get that far. Help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. I bought the Gold Membership and have been seriously considering Nero 6 because I can't get CopyToDVD to work like it used to.

I can't reproduce the problem, but are you using any stardock products maybe? Do you have any of your views set to use large icons. What about your crashlog? is there anything in it? Look in my documents you'll find a pcsetup folder please post that information also. There is a crashlog in the vso folder try posting that also.

I'm pretty certain that the problem is in the user interface because I was able to use earlier versions of CopyToDVD 3 without any problems.

I agree - I don't think that there is anything in any of the log files that would imply anything. I think that you may even have to go to the program code to try to find out all possible causes to the problem.

These logs are for Blindwrite 5, are we working with it or copytodvd? It is being looked into, it's not something that happens alot, just one of those gremlins, please go back to the version that worked best for you until this can be sorted out.

I was finally able to burn a CD from the CopyToDVD Manager. Instead of clicking 'ok' for each error message, I hit 'Enter' on my keyboard. (I figure I was getting about 2 error messages per second after I chose my burner.) After hitting 'Enter' a whole bunch of times, I finally was able to click on the burn button. The CD started to burn and the error messages stopped while it was burning but returned after it was finished. It did burn the CD ok. Here is the log file which as you can see contains nothing about the problem. 6/7/2004 9:49:07 AM info ********** Report session closed *********** 6/7/2004 9:49:03 AM info Write completed 6/7/2004 9:49:03 AM info Average speed x3.60 Reference x1 = 150.0 kbps 6/7/2004 9:49:03 AM info Total burning time 00:04:28.456 6/7/2004 9:44:34 AM info Starting write buffer 6/7/2004 9:44:34 AM info Starting to write... 6/7/2004 9:44:34 AM info Buffer under-run proof enabled 6/7/2004 9:44:34 AM info Writing speed requested x8, effective x4 6/7/2004 9:44:34 AM info Open Image file "C:\Documents and Settings\bgp27\Application Data\CopyToDvd\COPYTODVD_06072004_094434_198.cache" 6/7/2004 9:44:34 AM info Available sector size : 336075 6/7/2004 9:44:34 AM info 120mm CD-RW Multisession 6/7/2004 9:44:34 AM info Detected media $000A: CD-RW 6/7/2004 9:44:34 AM info 120mm CD-RW Multisession 6/7/2004 9:44:34 AM info Detected media $000A: CD-RW 6/7/2004 9:44:34 AM info Finished erasing CDRW 6/7/2004 9:43:44 AM info Start erasing CD-RW 6/7/2004 9:43:44 AM info 120mm CD-RW Multisession 6/7/2004 9:43:44 AM info Detected media $000A: CD-RW 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info Finished browsing files - Data size 117 Mb. 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info Start Browsing file structures 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info Supported Media: CD-R, CD-RW 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info Writing device used: 0:1:0 - HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4240N D110 [D] (Ide) 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info Using Patin-Couffin driver Version 1.22, Internal revision 22 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info Using File/Directory list. 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info ParamStr 4 = "/writespeed=8.0" 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info ParamStr 3 = "/writedevice=D" 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info ParamStr 2 = "/volumename=licenses" 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info ParamStr 1 = "/fl=C:\PROGRA~1\vso\COPYTO~1\~c2c_fl.tmp" 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info ParamStr 0 = "C:\PROGRA~1\vso\COPYTO~1\CopyToCd.exe" 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info User default language : 1033 (0x0409h) - English (United States) 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info System default language : 1033 (0x0409h) - English (United States) 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info Version 3.0.16.30 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info Title : CopyToDVD 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info ExeName : "C:\PROGRA~1\vso\COPYTO~1\CopyToCd.exe" 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info OS : Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 (Build 2600) 6/7/2004 9:43:34 AM info ******************** Report session started ********************
