INSTALLED THE LATEST UPGRADE ON XP (3.0.16) AND IT INSTALLS FINE BUT LOCKS UP THE SYSTEM WHEN I START THE PROGRAM. SYSTEM RESTORE TO OLD 3.0 VERSION AND ALL IS WELL. ANY IDEAS WHY THE UPGRADES NOT WORKING?

Probably for the same reason your cap lock appears to be stuck. How about some hardware information?
