|
|
How about adding a group delete/copy for PGCs in the domain view? In particular, I want to get rid of a bunch of menu PGCs, I have to delete them one at a time. Many other places in DRM, I can highlight/select a group of related items to delete/copy via shift+cursor... |

| DvdTree pane contain different items with different availbale actions. It is possible to allow multiple selection in this pane, problem is that it is not clear what to do with multiple selection. |

I thought you selected an action (delete/copy) after marking the range of items to be acted on. I know that I can delete VMG titles or Programs after marking/selecting a group with shift+mouse click.. Delete PGC and Copy PGC are the two Domain group actions most useful to me. However you could also: 1) Hide all blocks... 2) Delete PGC... 3) Copy PGC... 4) Add post to pre... 5) Enable all operations... 6) Set Prohibited ops... Selection range could be restricted to PGCs in particular Menu/Program Chain in a VTS. Grey out operations that wouldn't make sense for multilpe target objects...as you do now in other circumstances. If you limit the selection range to a particular menu or program chain, I don't see the problem if you do the error checking after the operations are complete. I think it would be consistant with the way DRM handle multiple selections in other areas. I have seen menus with 100+ useless PGCs that are royal pain to do delete one at a time. The user can always shoot him/herself in the foot. but DRM has that great Undo command. Please give this a little more consideration. Thanks |

| I made a similar suggestion in item 3 in this thread some time ago. This feature would be most useful to me as well as I tend to delete all these unused PGCs. Even if the program is made to know if the PGC is referenced or not, there's no substitute for the human eye to distinguish if it is actually used or not. The great benefit in this feature is the ability to auto-fix the navigation or renumber destination PGCs in the command where possible when a multi-selected PGCs are deleted in the dvd tree or in the Domain view. |

| Quote: | | Enable multi-PGC delete in Domain Content Pane as there are already Copy and Paste features. Shortcut keys for Copy, Paste, and Delete would be great. Adjust navigation wherever is possible. [EDIT]I meant if multiple selection of PGC on the dvd tree, other than in the Domain Content Pane, is possible, that would be very convenient. Benefits of doing this are 1) save time from deleting one by one, 2) stop having to keep track of renumbered PGCs when doing advance trace for deletion and circumnavigation, and 3) allow multi-selection of dummy & content PGCs that will not be used. | Ok, forget the multi-PGC copy, just give us the multi-PGC delete in the Domain content and don't worry about fixing the navigation. Just flag the generated errors as you already do. I'm wearing out my finger joints on these domain PGC deletes... nag,nag |

I can't believe that toadub and I are the only ones who want muliple PGC delete in the "tree". I mean you've given us a "delete all navigation" option, how about delete all PGCs in the menu section or delete all PGCs except the first one. I've seen trees with a hundred useless PGCs and it gets tedious doing it one at a time. Thanks for the great DRM 3.53 release. |

| I would find it usefull feature as well. I'd also particularly like to be able to select multiple pgc's and hide all blocks in them. Having to hide blocks for 25 pgc's does get tedious lol. |

| There is a multiple selection (with CTRL, SHIFT) in Domain Content pane. It also shows block PGC assignemt. Can help with hiding blocks in multiple PGCs. But, yes, multiple selection in DVD Tree pane is needed, it is on to do list. |

Can I add my weight behind these requests (well I'm doing it anyway ??!! I would like to see a whole lot more control of things on a block level... 1) Altering PUOs for multiple PGCs in a VTS program or menu (grey out inconsistant entries). 2) Deleting and copying multiple PGCs NB with this one as you can already SHFT to copy more than one should be possible (don't forget guys you can make a multiple selection only delete at first - just show us what DRMP can do with a RGHT mouse button context menu 3) Copying Menu sets would be real useful (don't forget to copy menu entries - 'root', 'chapter', etc. as this is not handled by the CTRL+SHFT multiple PGC copy just now) 4) Some way to set stuff for multiple programs within a PGC: import button sets to all programs (v. useful) convert all programs to stills (don't think you can do this yet - right?) Basically what I am saying is that DVD Remake Pro needs to be more orthogonal (ie if you can select multiple commands and insert why can't you select multiple PGCs/programs and insert). I am sure why can help you guys thrash out the inconsistancies this might produce!! I am sure you are working on all this stuff anyways Keep up the good work!! Bob Wya |
