I have just got a DVD burner and I am looking to buy decent copying / cloning software (for my own backups). DVD Clone has been recommended. Has anybody any experience good or bad with this software, if so, please write and let me have your views and opinions. Thanks, Piet.

I have never used DVD Clone but if you browse throgh our forums you may notice such software is common place. it all depends on how you would like to proceed but for a simple,to use 1clickdvd software, you can try 1clickdvdcopy : http://www.cdr-zone.com/news/1590/1clickdvdcopy-review-by-cdr-zone.html or Clone DVD ( which allows for chapter trimming ): http://www.cdr-zone.com/news/2125/clonedvd-2-review.html For more advanced editing or 'stripping' of unwanted features, then DvdRemake is my preferred choice: http://www.cdr-zone.com/news/2041/cdr-zone.com-review-dvdremake.html Both 1ClickDVDCopy and CloneDVD allow for compressing and recording, but their 'stripping' abilities are very limited. This is DvdReMake comes in real handy, and you can always use your preferred software to compress the DvdReMake 'stripped'DVD.

Hi SirQUK, I tried 1ClickDVDCopy using their trial offer. I was able to copy the DVD movie successfully without any problems. The copy runs fine om ,y computer with PowerDVD. However, when I tried to play it on a standalone DVD Player, it froze the player at counter 00:02. Also, one of the feature described is that "No warning messages ... will be added". However, the copy still shows the original warning message. Would appreciate your comment. Thanks hank tan
