| Hi: I downloaded the trial version of ConvertXtoDVD, and converted some .avi files to DVD - the process went smoothly, but when I put the DVD into any of the dvd players at my house, I got the message that the dvd player cannot play this disk. I have used Verbatim disks all the time to burn movies etc., and they always work fine - just with this process it won't work. .avi to dvd - what am I doing wrong and how can I fix it? I have now wasted 13 dvd's trying to figure this out and am stumped. It's not the DVD players, it's not the disks (verbatim), so what could it be? Thank you |

| Check FAQ and post Full Conversion Log here. What part of the world do u live in. Do u use NTSC or PAL. Also when having problems i would suggest u 2 use RW discs instead of R. Then u dont have 2 waste discs. |

| Hi - I live in the US and I specified NTSC before burning. I guess I can try some RW disks - it's just weird that these disk work GREAt (have burned plenty of movies onto them) - and it worked once burning a .avi file to DVD using winDVDcreator (but there was the sound lag - the voices were about 5 seconds behind the moving images) - but that was on a +R dvd (verbatim) - so I know the disks work - but something is wrong somewhere, just don't know where - or what would make the sound sync out from the moving images. Thanks though. |

| I tend to use nero to burn the finished discs over the built in one. |

| Chewedpup, Forget about the trial version and try the following: I've played around with many different converters and none but none, compare to the free version of VSO DivX to DVD V 0.5.2.99. This programme is beoming increasingly difficult to download and I have managed to find a German mirror site which will give you the programme. (Save it to a CD for future use). It's simplicity itself and will automatically sort the Pal/NTSC and aspects ratios. It might be marginally slower than some newer converters, but the quality is spot on. I've never had a failure. If you have further problems using this, give another post. Best of luck! |

| Hello, I also am experiencing a sound lag when trying to process a digital video file (that my properties window calls a "Filme do Windows" which in English is probably "windows film". ) with ConvertxtoDVD. When I do the same process with an MPEG file the audio is fine. What is needed in this situation? Can a windows film file-which by the way plays back fine in all my DVD software players, Nero, Intervideo and windows media player-be converted to an MPEG and then in turn burned as a DVD. It loads and plays in Nero Vision in the "chapter function", all the chapters sync up but when I start the transcodiing process in Nero Vision(4) it freezes after the first 20 minutes of processing. The file properties box says is a DivX Codec and the audio is at 48000 hz. Can someone please help me figure this out? Thanks Orlando |

| Thanks for your patience. I didnīt see anything about "logs" in the list of topics in FAQ?What logs are you talking about? Is it the text that is generated by the program during the conversion process? Do I simply paste it in this box. AFter I type my question? |

| JJ I donīt know what Iīm missing, I went here-- Posting Issues How do I post a topic in a forum? How do I edit or delete a post? How do I add a signature to my post? How do I create a poll? How do I edit or delete a poll? Why can't I access a forum? Why can't I vote in polls? and didnīt see any red letters about where to put the logs the only red letters I saw were about Accelarate Applications and Monitor Active Directory which appear to be advertizements I assume then that "inlcude" in the quote you sent me means paste the logs in the post box thanks for telling me how to find my conversion logs |
