| From reading other msgs, i guess dvdshrink must be loaded in the default/program files directory. I don't do this & am wondering if there is a way to point the program to the right directory via the registry or editing a "file". Also, will dvd decrypter be detected if in the default directory, or is it not possible to integrate it with this program. Thanks |

Hi vandyo and welcome to the forums. As long as DVDdecrypter and DVDShrink are in their default install directories Copytodvd should find them. I have passed this on to the VSO support team for their immediate attention |

| If you have DVD Shrink installed somewhere other than its normal default directory it will not show up in the launcher, you can manually edit the registry and change the path to the DVD Shrink exe file. You need to edit the "Command" key under the following registry entry. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VSO\Starter\3rdParty\ExtractDVDVideo\dvd shrink] Change it from "C:\Program Files\DVD Shrink\dvd shrink 3.2.exe" to point to wherever you have the DVD Shrink exe file. DVD Decrypter will not show up in the list at all, but you can manually add it to the registry. Add a new key to: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VSO\Starter\3rdParty\ExtractDVDVideo and call it DVD Decrypter, then in the right side you need to add two new "String Values". Call one Command and the other DisplayName, double click on the DisplayName entry and in the Value Data field put DVD Decrypter and click OK. Then double click on the Command key and in the Value Data field put the path to the DVD Decrypter exe and click OK. Close the registry editor and check if they now show up in the launcher. Disclaimer: I take no responsibility should things go bad with your registry. Only play in the Registry Editor if you know what you are doing and the hazards involved. |
