It is very strange that this media will not record without error. The ppl who make this media are Taiyo Yuden ( not all sony media but if u see YUDEN T02 - its made by Taiyo Yuden ). They are regardest as the best media going in mine and most reviewers opinions. Which media will work fine? I note you are not on the latest version of copytodvd. I would suggest at least trying the new version to see if it resolves this issue with your Sony burner and this media.

11/17/2005 4:00:38 PM info IDE Controler Description : Intel(R) 82801DB Ultra ATA Storage Controller - 24CB
If that doesnt work we could consider removing your IDE controller and using windows basic drivers. These are the best drivers for recording on your OS even if they are a little slower than the enhanced version Intel use. To do this you goto to your control panel>>>device manager>>> and find your INtel IDE drivers entry. Once here you can right click on this entry and choose to update driver. Choose the 'I will choose the device from a list' option and install your windows standard drivers from the list that appears. Reboot and check DMA is enabled by following this guide A few applications have been known to interfere with the copytodvd burning driver and so maybe you could try making sure no software such as InCD are running in the background whilst recording. Let us know if any of this helps you at all.
