I just tried CopytoDVD for the first time and it burned the DVD but when I go to play it in my DVD player I get a disk error message Not NTSC. How do I fix this, the DVD plays fine on my PC but not my home DVD Player? Sad

I think what he meant to say is the DVD you copied is not NTSC but PAL, copytodvd will copy both formats but it will not convert them that would be some massive undertaking. The problem is the original disk you copied, it must be PAL if not then re-rip it. oh and by the way the pc will play either format.

I did not rip the DVD, it is from a bit torrent download. Is there a way to tell if the files I have are PAL or NTSC before burning them (as this doing that is a waste of time and material). Also is it possible to convert them from PAL to NTSC with some s/w.

Now it comes out, ok we don't assist with illegal downloads, If it's something you own and want to protect by making a back-up thats fine, but you clearly state that this is a:
