Can anyone help me? It says the cd-burner is dirty, but this is an entirely new computer, so this should not be the case. I keep getting the message "Write error at 0 (16) - Code 03 73 03 [Medium error, Power calibration fail (CD-burner is dirty)]"

Hi there, Is it possible to provide us with a Full CopyToDVD log ! Are you burning CD-R or DVD media ? What brand of media are you using ? What speed are you burning them at ? The media id can be found in the logs, and/or by using VSO Inspector v1.1 It's most likely you are using cheap media and/or burning too fast. (DVD Burning). All those can be answered by looking at the logs !

Hi there,

Cheap Media quality are unpredictable !

Also burned too fast on them will make coasters all the time.

I never burn above 2x on cheap media quality, and even then they are full of errors sometimes.

They will burn 1 day, play fine for 2-3 months.

6 months later, you but them in your DVD player and they are unreadable !

Quality Media are Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Maxell made in Japan
