I got a good question for ya all. I got divxtodvd which works, but is slow as hell. 20fps for me with a registered version. I also have main concept encoder, but all it does is convert a file into dvd compliant mpeg form. Which is twice as fast. How can I burn this to disc so it will work in a dvd player? Maybe a link to a article or something. I know how to burn the vobs and such...but not a dvd compliant mpg. Would this be creating a vcd or svcd then? Also is there a article on what and how to use vob blanker? Thanks

What you need is a DVD authoring program. If all you want is a simple DVD with no menus, you can use MuxMan. The current version is free (although a donation to MPUCoder would be nice). If you want to design menus or use other advanced features, I'd recommend DVD-Lab. It isn't free, but it's well worth the price. When you're encoding with Main Concept for DVD, encode to elementary streams for best results. For VOB Blanker see: here.

When you encode you have the option to encode to a MPEG program or system file, which is a single file that has the video and audio multiplexed (muxed) together. You can play this file on your computer with a media player. Most DVD authoring programs require elementary streams, where the video and audio are encoded to separate files. Some authoring programs, like DVD-Lab for example, will allow you to import a program stream, but will demux it to elementary streams anyway, so you might as well save a step and encode it to elementary streams from the start. Attached is MainConcept's H.264 Encoder's main window showing where you select the stream type.

That's easy...just "use the force" Razz There are many screen capture utilities. I use the one that is built-in to Paint Shop Pro. You can also use the Print Screen key on your keyboard, which copies the screen to the clipboard. You can then paste it into some image editing program (even Windows Paint) and save it to a file. For screencaps that don't show pictures, the best format to save to is usually PNG because it offers decent compression that is lossless. If there are pictures, you're probably better off with JPG.
