| Sometime last year, there was a poll on the Suggestion forum asking users to post their top 5 requests for new program features in DvdReMake. Most of the top requested features have already been implemented with the release of version 3. One of the most popular requests that hadn't been implemented was the ability to convert a motion video to a still. Well, this feature has been added in version 3.1. I'm starting this thread so that significant additions like this one won't go unnoticed. For a complete list of changes, refer to the Development History page. Version 3.1.0 Convert to still & Replace with still - Allows you to choose a frame to be used as a replacement for the selected block. This can be very useful for converting motion menus to still menus. On discs that you are having trouble getting down to size to fit on a DVD-5, you can sometimes gain a lot of space by converting motion menus to still menus. Some discs have more than 500MB in menus! The cell's duration remains the same as well as its audio and subpicture tracks. You can remove the audio as usual, or if it's just background music for a menu, maybe you will want to leave it for the still menu. Copy/Paste Blocks - Allows you to copy a single block or multiple blocks in from the Domain Content Pane, and then paste them into blocks somewhere else in the same project or a different project. This is usually going to be much easier and faster than using "Replace block" or "Bulk replace". Copy multiple VTS's and PGC's - By holding the Shift key while copying, you can add to previously copied VTS(s) or PGC(s). When you paste, the items will be pasted in the order in which they were copied. |
