| I've burning DVD-Rs for a while in my Presario 6040LA with a Pioneer DVDR-104 (firmware 1.30) using DVD2one and CopytoDVD. I use a Philco PH-5100 DVD to play the DVD-Rs with no problems. I've used Verbatim 2x and Pengo 1x media (because of availability and prices in Mexico) But at the end of december I upgraded to CopytoDVD 2.4.9 (also upgraded to DVD2one V1.4) and my problems started. Since then I have burned 3 Pengo 1X DVD-R with the same result, the process goes well and the finished DVD-R is played well in the PC but when I insert the DVD-R in the DVD player it's not recognized anymore. (The DVD-Rs passed the read tests with DVDinfopro without errors). I haven't been able to switch back to the previous version of CopytoDVD (I think it was 2.3.4) because I replaced the .exe at download to restore the enviroment that worked well for me. I know the DVD player is old and not certified for DVD-Rs but I'm curious of what could be the reason for this problem (changes in the Patin Couffin driver maybe??) and what can I do to solve it without having to change or try a newer DVD player. |
