Hey, i have about 20 to 30 video clips (about 10 mins long average) which totals 4.09 gigs. They are all in AVI format. What im wanting to do is compress this, so I can then use Ulead DVD movie factory to make menus and burn. The files need to be on 4 dvds, so theres about 8 or 9 on each. What should i use to first compress these files, so then i can use them for one dvd each (which would then be a total of 4 at the end) Thanks. -Z

Are the avi's divx, dv format avi's. If you had a divx certified player, you could use copy2dvd in data mode and copy them to a dvd and they would pl;ay without compressing them, they are already compressed anyway. if not divx and just dv-avi files, then I use WinAVI. it can make just about anything you need, you can prepare them in dvd format and then use movie factory to add you finishing touches ..then burn. There are hundreds of methods and tools, why dont you go to http://www.videohelp.com and look under the sections that cover Ulead Movie Factory..they have a few examples and tutorials there. Hope this helps gets you pointed in the right direction..

indeed divxtodvd can convert your internet movies to a compliant DVD, you can merge several divx to a single DVD.

Menu system is coming in future versions but they wont be free. For now can I suggest converting to DVD with DivXToDVD and then using a software such as TMPGEnc DVD Author to import the exported DVD Video DivXToDvd creates and create a simple menu.
