CopyToDVD / Nero 6 Burn Errors

Good morning, Question: Since loading Nero 6 Ultra Edition, my once reliable CopyToDVD program is having trouble completing a DVD burn. It maybe a coincidence, but I had recently loaded Nero 6 when the trouble started. Here is the error message: Write failed; write error 1663408(16); code 03 08 03 medium error I have burned about 10 cupholders and only one DVD as of late. Shrink to DVD is also burning immediately after the shrink process. . . something it never did before. . . and it chosing Nero as the default. However, when manually selecting my old reliable CopyToDVD. . . it errors out as well. I have contacted VSO. VSO has been very quick with responses to problem dealt with through email. Always less than a day, and sometimes within a few hours. Tremendous support program through the internet. No one else I've ever tried working with on the internet has been as efficient. Hi dadfive and welcome to our forums. We love Ken too!! The only way to find out if there is a usability conflict between the latest CopyTo DVD and Nero would be to un-install either one and see if the other works ok. I'm sure this is a conflict both Nero and VSO would want to see fixed quickly as there is no reason why both should not live happily on your PC ( they used to ).

it is not the first time people report a possible conflict, the problem is we never outlined it . maybe there is something we don't reproduce correctly. do you have InCD loaded ?

Hello Lapinou and SirQUK, Since my original posting, my hard drive crashed. However, just prior to the hard drive problem, Ken had solved the problem by resolving a DMA problem. Now I am having similar problems after reloading both programs. I've sent Ken the DMA information from both IDE channels. Lapinou, I tried to uninstall InCD and now when I try to burn with CopyToDVD I get an error message that "No writers are found on the System" I'll try reinstallation InCD and then try uninstalling CopyToDVD. Shocked

Thanks for the advice and I'll keep trying. Any other ideas??? dadfive
