Hey Again, I downloaded a drive check program from Sony and checked the drive, I set all the defaults in CopyToDVD, I used the memorex dvd+r's that have recorded fine before, I shut Down Norton, and still get these errors. It seems to copy most or all of the movie, then during finalization something goes wrong. Please help because it's starting to get expensive. 3/12/2005 8:01:05 AM info ********** Report session closed *********** 3/12/2005 8:00:26 AM error Write failed 3/12/2005 8:00:26 AM info Average speed x3.35 Reference x1 = 1385.00 kbps 3/12/2005 8:00:26 AM info Total burning time 00:13:55.140 3/12/2005 8:00:01 AM info Finalizing CD.. 3/12/2005 8:00:01 AM error Write error at 1902112 (16) - Code 03 0C 08 [Write error, recovery fail] 3/12/2005 7:46:31 AM info Lead-in burning time (mS) 14 3/12/2005 7:46:30 AM info Starting write buffer 3/12/2005 7:46:30 AM info Starting to write... 3/12/2005 7:46:30 AM info Buffer under-run proof enabled 3/12/2005 7:46:30 AM info Writing speed requested x4.0, effective x4.0 3/12/2005 7:46:29 AM info Writing session #1 and closing disc. 3/12/2005 7:46:29 AM info Open Image file "C:\Documents and Settings\Dominick A.DiTaranto\Application Data\CopyToDvd\COPYTODVD_03122005_074628_796.cache" 3/12/2005 7:46:29 AM info Available sector size : 2295104 3/12/2005 7:46:29 AM info Available write speed: x4.0, x2.4, x2.0 3/12/2005 7:46:29 AM info Media ID: MCC-003-00 3/12/2005 7:46:29 AM info 120mm DVD Single Layer 3/12/2005 7:46:29 AM info Detected media $001B: DVD+R 3/12/2005 7:46:28 AM info 120mm DVD Single Layer 3/12/2005 7:46:28 AM info Detected media $001B: DVD+R 3/12/2005 7:46:28 AM info Finished browsing files - Data size 4.36 Gb. 3/12/2005 7:46:28 AM info Start Browsing file structures 3/12/2005 7:46:28 AM info IDE Controler manufacturer : Intel 3/12/2005 7:46:28 AM info IDE Controler Description : Intel(R) 82801DB Ultra ATA Storage Controller - 24CB 3/12/2005 7:46:28 AM info Supported Media: DVD-R, DVD-RW Seq., DVD-RW RO, DVD+R, DVD+RW, CD-R, CD-RW 3/12/2005 7:46:28 AM info Writing device used: 1:1:0 - SONY DVD RW DRU-510A 1.1a [E] (Ide) 3/12/2005 7:46:28 AM info Using Patin-Couffin driver Version 1.27, Internal revision 27 - Async. Hi again dditaranto That error message when checked up un our ATAPI error code table refers to this possible reason:
Quote:
There are many cases where there is a problem with the disc, or information cannot be retrieved from the disc properly. The PC may be unstable or try a new disc
It may be something in the system that is not interacting with CopyToDVD very well. I'm sure the VSO team will be reading this and will working on a solution. I thank you for the log. One thing you could try is unistalling your Intel IDE accelerator drivers and using windows default ones instead to see if this helps.
