|
|
| Hi, everytime I start divxtodvd an annoying little window pops up called the active movie window. I can shut it off but as soon as I hit convert an even bigger window opens by the same name. I've noticed that when its open the frame rate conversion is a lot slower than when I close it off. This wouldn't be too bad, but if I'm doing multiple files together as soon as it starts on the next file the active movie window opens again, slowing down the whole process. Can somebody please tell me how to shut this thing off. I'm using version 1.99.12.27. Thanks, Joe. |

| You have some extra software installed, some codec pack or similar that is showing that window. It is NOT DivXtoDVD opening that window. |

| sorry I hit the new topic instead of reply button. The first little window that comes up has a divxtodvd advertisement in it. Why would a codec do this? How can I fix this problem? Thanks for trying to help, Joe. |

| You mean that you have VideoPreview - window opening? Simply close it - or first pull it inside main DivXtoDVD-window. |

| First a little window opens, outsidfe of the main program, with the logo for divx2dvd on it, when I close it it goes away, but as soon as I hit convert to start a conversion a bigger window opens up, same name, active movie window. I can close it and it stays closed. Its not so bad if I'm only converting one file but if I'm doing a few it opens as soon as it starts the next file. It really slows the fps down by as much as 50%, so jobs take twice as long. once again, thanks for your help, Joe. |

| If it shows movie being converted, then it is preview-window. Just pull it inside main window and de-select it from top-menu. |

| It shows the movie being converted alright, but I tried to pull it inside the main program, it just sits on top of it. if I minimise the main program, the active movie window stays maximised, slowing down the process. Its really frustrating. Joe. |

| Try first resizing that window to small, then pull it back in to main program. Works just fine here.. |

| I tried that, doesnt work. Its like its not part of the main program, it wont go into the main program, just sits on top of it, wont minimise? Thanks again, Joe. |

| Sorry - can't reproduce your problem, I can drag that window out from main and back in again without any problems. And if you select from top menu to NOT show it - is it still coming? |

|
|
| Hi Joe113, I didn't read the whole thread, but let me ask you this: You are on Windows XP ? Do you use "Remote Desktop" to connect to your computer ? I use "Remote Desktop" and then I have this "Active Video Window" opening. If I reboot my PC I'm 100% no errors until I connect using Remote Desktop, then I see this problem again ! VSO has confirmed me that "If it's a remote desktop issue" it will *NOT* be fixed, this is the last thing on their list, and may never be fixed. And me too, I need to close that Window else conversion takes a little longer. I connect to my PC downstairs using "Remote Deskop" upstairs... |

It will not dock into the main program. And yes tabby, I use xp, but I do not use remote desktop. Looks like I'm stumped then Just incase the remote desktop thing is switched on even though I don't use it, how do I switch it off? Thanks for all the help folks. |

| So you get TWO windows - preview and that other. Ok, that other one is NOT part of DivXtoDVD. Do you get that other window if you start anything gfx-related, like BSPlayer or MediaPlayer? |

| No, only when I start divx2dvd. Do you know how to get to the settings on the remote desktop that tabby is talking about? Thanks jj for all your help so far, Joe. |

| Hi there, To turn "Remote Desktop ON or OFF, <Right-Click> on My Computer on your desktop, then go to the "Remote" tab. If you turn OFF "Remote Desktop" reboot please. Then if it happens again, then we know it's NOT Remote Desktop. In my case, it seems to be, since it's about the only thing different that I do that others don't. If it still happen, we will need to try an identify why you do different, or what apps you have that others don't have. |
