strange DL playback characteristics

Hello all. I have recently burned a project done in DVDSP to a DL disc and have reports back that the DVD was being temperamental on different people's players. I was using Targus DVD+RW DL and have since discovered I should be using Verbatim DVD+R DL which I have now equipped myself of. The DVD was burned in Nero. All combined bitrates were under 9 using AC3 audio. I can understand the DVD not starting, or having glitches during play back or freezing etc, but people are reporting default buttons are different to the project, and even buttons and end jumps are linking to different places. Has anyone heard of this happening before? I have since as I said got new media and have lowered bitrates and have download imgburn to burn my discs, but before I do, I wanted to check if there was any explanation to why these strange playback issues might be happening.

Don't know how you're authoring it, but you can check button behavior under several software players before burning.

What does DVDSP stand for?
