Thanks for replying Wench! And many thanks for the offer, but please don't go to a lot of trouble, unless you could more easily scan and email a copy to me? Thanks for your interest! Bill Fitzgerald

Bought a DR-810 from the CooP, 49.99, bargain. Everything I've tried has worked. But....the index screen is blue and has the Cello logo making it impossible to read the contents....anyone help? I have also wasted time trying to 'phone the "Help" Line.

I've noticed that ebuyer also sell the DR810 DVD player but it's £69.32 http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?&product_uid=102629 I'm still looking for a cheap DVD recorder and if I come across the DR810 in my local CO-OP then I will be tempted to get one Smile

I saw this offer in the co-op and its too much to resist! However I can only get a monochrome picture. I have used composite inputs, and scart inputs -together and separately. I havent yet tried s-video or component (RGB) I think that is besid ethe point, because the other two should work!! I put my other pieces of kit back in the inputs in TV to make sure I hadnt done anything (PS2 and Phillips DVD player) and its fine. So i dont know why I ahve only got a black and white image. IT looks pretty good apart from the lack of colour! Any one know how I can easily do something? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi The Prawn, welcome to the forums my 1st thought is that it was an svhs issue as the colour is a seperate signal from the picture. Your TV won't be autodetecting and assuming it's SVHS by any chance will it? check the DVD settings as maybe it's outputting a SVHS signal so see if you can change the settings somewhere for video out can you not try it on another TV also to check? if it's the same then you know it's the player and not your main TV getting confused by the signal

Prawn - I just connected the scart (TV) from the DVD to the scart on my tele and bingo - it worked. The blue index screen is still a pain though and I think you have to manually record something onto a DVD disc to make it available for a timer record.

Very impressed with the quick response. My tele has got ON digital inbuilt, and I think my new dvd is producing component signal, and my tv is set to composite. I think I need to change on the tele. I tried it on another TV (scart) and as that is only a composite input-worked fine!, I expect as soon as i get home and switch my digital tele to composite OR go out component all will be ok......! lets see!

Mmmmm..... Very interesting. I eventually got through to the support telephone number and when i gave him the model & s/n he said that the warranty for the Cello DR-810 has been purchased by the Co-op and that i must contact them. I returned to my local store and spoke to the manager who said that all he could do was offer me a refund as long as i have my till receipt as he has no more!!! I don't want a refund. I want a working DVD Recorder with remote! If you are considering purchasing one of these, think carefully as they have no warranty to speak of. And keep you receipt. I hope that this proves useful to someone

I bought the Cello DR810 DVD player. I can`t find in the book how to format the discs so cannot proceed to record anything. It plays pre- recorded discs well with a good picture and is an excellent price but the book is hard to follow Can anyone help. When you load a disc in it says blAN on the display with no explanation of what this means. Can anyone help plese?
