|
|
| Hi, I've tried converting vobs to Svcd and Xscvd using EasyVCD without much hassle but I saw my friend convert vob to avi , all into a single CD (usually) and the quality was also good too. I tried to do it using DVD2AVI but when I played back, using the latest DivX player, I only managed to get the picture without sound incorporated. I've tinkered around to get it right but to no success. Can anyone put me in the right path.Besides DVD2AVI, what else is there, I'm only a newbie in this area. Also, I would like to edit the avi , what kind of possibly freeware video editing software would you recommend. Thanks all Charles |

| Hi chucky, welcome to the forum:) when u play a dvd2avi parsed file it has a video only d2v ( video info file ) and if you have selected decode audio, it will give you an ac3 audio file too. May i recommend dvd2svcd ( which also excepts avi input via the Misc TAb), from www.dvd2svcd.org . it is the one i use for all my avi dvd to svcd needs. TMPGEnc wil also allow u to input and edit parts of an avi file ( please search the main site for info ), and a free version is available, though u wil need to have the divx codecs installed for avi editing. Lots of good guides on these matters can be found at www.doom9.org and www.vcdhelper.com SirQUK |
