| Whenever CopyToDVD gets to the finalizing stage the bar gets 2/3's the way done and starts increasing in time to complete until it stops doing anything. Eventually the spinning floppy icon stops moving and I get a "Not Responding" message. Upon doing this I cannot eject my DVD without restarting my computer by turning it off in the back. The DVDs play fine but I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. It's a burden to have to turn my computer off after every burn. Anyone have any clue on how to fix this? |

| I hadn't had time to try and burn another DVD. I successfully burned one a little while ago. It beeped and ejected the DVD for me. I thought that maybe it had fixed itself but alas it did not. I just burned another one and got the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. | Where could I get the new chipset drivers? Also how do you make sure DMA is enabled? Sorry about all the questions. I'm new to all of this. Thanks in advance. |

| hi, i have the same problem as cravis. i have an hp pavilion a230n with an HP 300x dvd burner (whatever that is). i followed your advice and downloaded new drivers but the driver date is only 7/2001. i checked dma and it is enabled. the dvd will copy to 100%, goes to close the disk and it locks up then says "program not responding". I cannot close the program and cannot remove the disk. i have to do a hard restart by hitting the power button. if you want a log like cravis provided, i will need a little help in figuring out how to find it. the trouble seems to have started when i upgraded the copytodvd to v3.0.41.75. thanks. |

Hi Dborn and welcome to the forum. The HP 300 is a writer that has proved troublesome in the past. I'm pretty sure VSO have a patch for this writer though. To find your copytodvd log please goto the options menu in copytodvd and choose view log
