an update for your burner may never appear if you dont send digi a problem report describing the issue and make and model of your burner.

I also just bought a new HP laptop yesterday and am having the same problem. i do not have the blue ray though. I have the HP dv7-1130us which is 64 bit and am wondering if it may have to do with that at all. it will transcode the vid no problem but wont burn it or recognize the burner. i was at least able to burn it with the installed software included. I have been lucky on my other pc's as i have been using dvd95 for a few years without a hitch until i got this HP. I did send an email to digi as well.

Well it works fine with my dvdfab and img burn so I guess its back to using that until there is some kind of fix for some of these HP burners. Has anyone else been able to get theirs to recognize the burner on dvd95 with a new HP laptop yet that had problems before? if so let me know how you got it working. I have tried reinstalling but no help.

Just by chance. You wouldn't be running Vista 64 bit on those computers? I had to format mine and when I did I put Ultimate 64 bit on my PC and (%copy wouldn't recognize the burners when it did before. Re formatted... put 32 bit back on and noproblems. It also solved the problem my buddy was having. His had 64 bit on it. Just a thought
