I have AnyDvd and plan to continue using it with Dvd95 for the latest protections.
I have other backup programs but I have been using DVD95 since August of 2005. I use it on about one third of my backups.

Thats great until you have to activate Dvd95copy again and you will be SOL if Digi has finished with dvd95copy which we all hope is not the case. |

Only if you format your computer... or uninstall the program for some reason. |

That is good, I just put one copy on each of my two external hard drives. |

I really hope that DIGI will be back but in the worst case scenario that he doesn't, do any of you have a suggestion as to another program that can be used to rip DVDs. I know there are lots to choose from but I'd like to get some feedback from others who have good success with one.
Thanks in advance. |

in the past digi let us know what was going on.
I think the writing is on the wall.... |
I am afraid this is the last of dvd95copy this time I have a little info but I can not discuss it with anyone. |
dinkie, i know you always were close with digi so you probably know what's going on but can't say, I'm sure respecting digi's wishes.
Taking a guess on my part, I have a feeling that "the man" might have finally gotten to him and possibly threatened him with serious legal actions if he continued running the site and software. Again this is a guess on my part but I can't see what else would stop him cold in his tracks like this. And if this is the case I don't blame him one bit. As much as I selfishly wish he would continue, he has to make the right decision for himself before anything else. For those of us that can remember the old original DVDXCopy that included the ripper, it's the same story all over again.
I'm sure i echo everyone else's feelings here when I say that I'm very sad to see this program go, and I wish digi all the best in whatever future projects he embarks on. Godspeed, digi. |

Did you mean rip or burn? A free ripper is DVDFAab HD Decrypter. It rips to the hard drive. I am not sure of forum rules when it comes to providing links to the software itself but I like 1Click DVD Copy Pro, here is a link to the forum:

I have used it since April of 2006. The support is excellent particularly from the forum. You will need DVD43 to use with it. It is free. The aurthor gets around the potential legal problems by not providing it along with the program. I have used it about as much as DVD95. DVD 95 was able to compress the extras further. |

A nice program I would recommend also as well as dvdfab gold or platinum which has a builtin ripper where 1click does not.
out of the two programs I would go with 1click pro. |

| Come on now, if the program is no more the author ought to have the decency to advise his customers. This is a crap way to do business. The only excuse I can see that his server is down and he might be having problems fixing it, but the Web page and the server together, that is not a coincidence. |

If it should be that the program has been shut down and if it's the 'normal' agreement with a certain movie company involved, I doubt that he is allowed to post anything. |
